Noted Westporter Ed Kahn founded Electric Control
Equipment over 50 years ago. His vision was to take
advantage of the huge amount of surplus switchgear left
over from WWII, by supplying electrical equipment to
all major industrial users and utilities. As the United
States' industrial base flourished after the war, Ed
found himself selling electrical equipment throughout
the country. With a foundation based on a commitment
to quality, a complete understanding of customer needs
and devotion to customer service, his idea became a
huge success.
Electric Control grew rapidly along with our country's
needs, and the company soon expanded its horizons to
several foreign continents. Today, the company is run
by Ed's son, Dan Kahn, from their Norwalk, Ct. plant
that houses over 50,000 sq. ft. of inventory and shop
space. Electric Control now sells products worldwide,
and the shop is noted for its quick response, quality
oriented team. The company can fulfill any user's requirements
for custom and remanufactured switchgear, all related
circuit breakers, parts, rentals and emergency work. |
